McCalls 6400 redo

Miss me? hope so.... Ok remember when I had a major mishap with my last creation McCalls 6400? Wellll I redid it.... and I love love love it..... I'm wearing it with the Jalie pants I made about a year ago.... And may I add It was my first pair I did ever..... :) My son took the pic so I hope you see a clear view....

I decided that I would not post, that I was going to try and make the shirt Erica B did a few days ago, which was McCall’s 6400 as a surprise to my viewers.  It only took me like a hour to cut and sew the shirt… Now when I tell you I was surprised how it turned out, you will be sitting back looking at your computers saying “let me help this women cause she know not what she doing”. lol….. All I can say it trial and error ….. TRIAL AND ERROR….. I will for sure redeem myself…..  Now look at the shoulder real close….. ( you see it ???) LOL I will never make it out this type of material again…. Not sure what it was but it’s used to make T shirts….. what can I say….. I tried….

Everything about this dress screams.... "EVONI" this will be made soon!!!..... Maybe in Mustard Yellow or White.... I'm thinking I will try the lightweight wool.... if I can..... I would love to see someone else make it first.... So Far no one on pattern review has.....

Ok so im a member of Pinterest and alot of the ladies have so many inspirational pieces that I would love to try and make.... Erica gurl you post so many like your yellow pants and your leopard shirt...... Melissa hun I love your perfect outfit looks.... I'm also sold on the none skinny jean tuck ...lol all I did was stuff the boot... ( shhhhhh).... :) And Scheryka hun.... your 2 B Inspired looks are doing just that.....Ladies there are so many bright ideas and fashionable looks out there I'm glad to see that we all took that one little note from our mothers when she said... "baby you need to learn how to share".... Thanks ladies these pins are helping me more then you know....

Ok so I entered into a contest and had to use pink for the challenge.... I did B5672....

It was easy if you ask me... I opt not to do the zipper because the material stretched enough... When I first looked at the patteren I thought this is the type of dress your aunt buys you when your 14.... :(  I never would have thought at age 31 I would love it.... Any way I made the dress a size14 out of a sweater knit.... I also opt out of the lining it didnt need it at all... I'm still no pro at sewing so all I did was surge and sew.... LOL no special taking..i did however pin the top a little because the top had to much stretch .. Ok enough talking here it is.... Let me know what you think your feed back is very important to me..... Thanks in advance..... XOXO

Hi everyone.... I know I know I been off my game for a while,,,, But dont think that I havn't thought about sewing..... I have been paying attention to your blogs and it seems like a few of you gals are sew happy.... :) I have a few things that I do want to make one being a jumper/rumper and another dress.... I know I know I need to step up my game.... I will :) just give me more time to be as skilled as you gals.... Until later....kisses

This week I decided to do a skirt pattern number (V8697)

It was fairly simple I had a few errors with the waist band but I managed to get it together. The overall look of it is nice you can dress it up, add a belt around the waist like i did or you can dress it down..... I did a checkered blue on blue denim stretch there are lots of pics..... 

1.Pattern Sizing: 14

2.Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think it did minus the V shape in the front.... I could not get that line straight to save my soul.....

3.Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

4.What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked that it fit to my shape.

5.Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I wud sew it again.... a solid color though maybe black

Conclusion: I love the skirt and is very much so proud of myself for completing it with only one call to my sis for help... :) I will make it again for sure....

Ok.... I was pose to post this dress last week and got caught up with hubby home coming and i got kinda busy :) anywho I'm ready to share this one of a kind gouragous dress... :) O and I took questions from my sis page tryna get professional a lil so bare with me on the questions till i get a little better with them...


Pattern Sizing: BIG...... lol ok it was a 12 if you must know

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It sure did....

Were the instructions easy to follow? I think they were easy the bodice always give me a challenge but.....

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? O I love the pattern

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none......

Would you sew it again? Of course I would.... I would like to try a whimzical fabric next...

Would you recommend it to others? Of course I would....

Conclusion: I love the dress... the only thing I would change next time is the bust.... I have a little to much clevage showing.... But hey there is always room for growth and change, and I plan on taking advantage of them both....

I'm done with school :) so let the sewing begin.... I'm going to be posting a dress soon in which my sister ( Scheybutta) and I completed together during our kids spring break..... Pattern # 3503 dress C from Simplicity.... From here on out im also going to try and post a new item each week..... Can you say " Ouch"  I hope im good for it I'm very absent minded..... Free Pattern

I want to start off by posting a shirt that was a free pattern that i like and copied from my sis Sheybutta.... I like the shirt it's airy and very light weight it can be used as a swimsuit cover up as well....... I will for sure make this again it was very simple..... Thanks sis :)

Hey you guys, I wanted to switch it up a lil.... Im always trying to do these huge projects so i decided to do something simple that  wouldn't take a month to complete.... lol So I decided to do Kwick Sew 3543 Hat B.... It took Only 30 min..... I know I know that's still super long so ima try and bring down the time....  Anywho thank you gals for subscribing to me..... Valentines Dress for my Baby 2010

I wanted to make my 8 year old a Valentine Dress for school, she pick the dress and i attempted to make it. Although it is a liitle big.... Ok 2 sizes to big.... lol I made an 8 i guess i should have made a 6 cause she look like a toothpick in a sandwich bag..... :) she like it though.... I'm not sure if I will make anymore dress for her being she so small and im not good at judging what needs to be taken in i might stay away from that area.....

OK so I did a shirt.... I'm loving it the color is fuchsia pink..... (So girly) : ) .... It's kinda long being that I'm only 5"3 so ima have to hem it up a lil and take in the sides just a lil.... over all it took me a while to make not hard but just took me a while I'm still new to the directions.... lol .....

Let me know what you think.... I love it my next one may be sleeveless....

This is the back again. I really love the embroidered pockets, thanks to my Sis. NOTE TO SELF: MUST GET HUSBAND TO BUY A SERGER OR EMBROIDERY. SHUCKS, SERGER AND EMBROIDERY. 

These pants were a journey for sure. And that ZiPPeR, OMG. Boy do I have to work on those.

The bodice is coming together. It looks like a double bra for simese twins. It took a minute but I got this bad baby together.

I had to figure which way was right and wrong a million times but I got that too. Note to self: Mark the wrong and right sides if you can not tell which is which.

Another dilemma, well the same dilemma as before, the ever famous ZiPPeR. I butchered this thing up like crazy. I think if I keep it like this no one would notice but that would not be fun. So. I'm gonna master the zipper and pat myself on the back.
