Body Type

                                                                     HELP WANTED

As I sit here looking at patterns I'm wondering what my body type is, and what clothes does my body justice! I could not answer that. "SAD" That is my problem; I'm sewing items that does not showcase my shape well.... I'm in true need of Fashion Help.... or a Sewing Counselor ;-)  Any one up for the position? The job does not pay well... lol but at least your doing a Good Deed...

Pencil skirt update!!

Ok, so Im done... I like it I will for sure make this again...

All I can say is thanks.. I have found a easy and fast way to make a skirt for those day's where bloating takes over... LOL tks Mimi hun.... I love it..

So the other day Mimi Goodwin did a DIY pencil skirt.... YAYYYY... so today im going to give it a try. I also learned another way to do my elastic from her tutorial... so so so much easier then the tugging and pulling that I was doing... And with that I'm going to try and make M6241 to go with it.... view A lets hope I dont look like a fat pencil when I try it on.... for you guys who have not seen Mimi skirt I will post it next to mine when I'm done....

McCall's 6173 Review

I'm so excited to show you guys a pair of pants I made using M6173.... I made C only adding a little more length to the legs for more ruch...I will for sure make these again... between you and me these are the only pants that fit me..... :-)

Pattern Description: Misses petite pant's and leggings
Pattern Sizing: I used Med
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it did..
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions where very easy.
Fabric Used: Denim 3% stretch
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a little length the the ankle area because I wanted a little more ruching..
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will for sure sew again soon...
Conclusion:
This is a perfect pattern for beginners like myself... you can tweek it anyway you like..... I plan on trying this pattern with other material to make the perfect skinny jean....
