Ok so remember the Dress I was making for the Marine Corps Ball?
I completely failed this.. :( Only the front view to me was gorgeous... lol Everything else.... lets say I'm glad the Ball was in a dark room.... Hubby say I looked beautiful, but hey what hubby wouldn't... Needless to say although the dress was gorgeous I suck at straight lines and zippers.. I would not make this dress again... In fact I threw the pattern AWAY lol..... I really didn't want to post the pics but what the hell I have to show the good and the bad... So here goes nothing....

Love the dress! You look gorg! Don't be so hard on yourself. We are our best and worse critic. You could have fed my addiction and given me the pattern. ;)
That is funny. I do the same thing.... throw the pattern away when feel it's a failed project in never want to see again.
But the Front of your dress looks beautiful! :)

hello I was on sewingpatternreview looking for a summer dress, and found your project. Don't be so hard on yourself! you look beautiful, however I prefer a more covered-up look, it has nothing to do with size. Think of it this way--more clothes means more real estate to be creative! those skinny unhealthy models don't have enough matter to their bodies to be able to show off the fabrics and stitching. You rock! Keep on sewing. p.s. I am a size 18 myself--lowcarb worked for a few months, but it's hard to maintain.
I think the dress is pretty great, don't be so hard on yourself! Is it your first time sewing a ball gown?
